馬草壟本來是香港邊境禁區範圍,更建有麥景陶碉堡作邊防用途,直到2013年6月10日才連同另外五個邊境村落一起解禁。此外,世界信義宗社會服務處曾於1962年在香港馬草壟建立馬草壟信義新村的平房區,人口三百多人,但現已荒廢。另一方面,1976年至1979年期間,馬草壟曾經有一個名為馬草壟堆填區的垃圾堆填區運作。
Ma Tso Lung is a place when you see “old” and “new” in contrast. Previously, the place was a border between Hong Kong and China. The fish ponds are in the Hong Kong side which representing the traditional agricultural and fishing industry in Hong Kong. Across the Shenzhen River, there are high rise commercial and residential building in the well developed Shenzhen Economic Zone of China. This is one of the few places to see the “modern” and the “traditional”.
I used Nikon F6 with Fujichrome RDPIII and AIS24/2 & AIS35/1.4, with a few shots using AFD80-200/2.8. All of the wide angle photos were shot with the GND 3 stops and 4 stops.
